Allison is a Licensed Professional Counseling and Nationally Certified Counselor who has extensive experience working with teens, adults, and couples who struggle with a variety of life stressors including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, communication challenges, trauma, self-esteem issues, marital conflict, divorce, and stress management. Allison is the proud owner of A Taste of Therapy, LLC (www.atasteoftherapy.com) where she provides "cooking therapy" to couples, families, and work teams to promote effective and positive communication. Allison is the published author of Cooking Therapy: The Recipe for Improving Communication With Your Children Through Cooking. She enjoys finding creative ways to support couples in better navigating the natural complexities of relationships. Currently, Allison is focused on providing a Couples Workshop Series featuring a dynamic and interactive workshop one Saturday per month focused on a "hot topic" issue common to most relationships. She also provides licensure supervision for individuals seeking their LPC and LMFT in Virginia.
