Jennifer is a passionate counselor who believes in establishing a strong therapeutic alliance with individuals based on their unique life experiences. Jennifer believes individuals have resources within themselves for self-understanding, and for making changes in their life when provided with an environment that promotes growth. Jennifer utilizes various clinical modalities including, but not limited to Person-Centered Techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, Crisis Intervention, Mindfulness, and Relaxation/Stress Reduction Techniques. Since 2011, Jennifer has worked with a number of diverse client populations across the lifespan. Current clinical focuses/interests include Grief & Loss, Anxiety/Worry, Depression/Sadness, Sexual Assault Survivors, Substance Abuse/Dependence, Life Transitions, Career Issues, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem/Self-Worth, Women’s Issues, Workplace Issues, LGBTQI issues, and Stress Management. Jennifer is certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist and can perform auricular acupuncture to address trauma, anxiety, addiction/cravings, and overall stress management. Jennifer is also a Certified Trauma Practitioner through the National Institute for Trauma & Loss in Children and is currently being trained in EMDR.
When Jennifer is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and completing arts/crafts & DIY projects.
