Heather received her Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a Licensed Clinical Social worker and Registered Play Therapist. She has experience working with individuals, children, and families with varying mental health diagnoses and is trained in Structural Family Therapy. She utilizes aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness and takes a person centered, strengths based approach in her work with clients. She has completed specialized training in grief work with children and in intimate partner violence crisis interventions. Heather works to empower individuals and families to recognize and build upon their strengths and accomplish their goals, no matter how big or small. We all face challenges in life, but she believes we don’t have to face them alone. Heather is here and eager to support you in your life journey.
