Background:

Kristin is the Clinical Director at RCC and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, self-esteem/ body image, trauma, and eating disorders. She is committed to and passionate about helping others acknowledge their self-worth and seeks to provide an environment in which individuals feel safe, comfortable, and heard. Through her experience in acute inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings, Kristin has found that individuals make their most significant progress when encouraged to be an active part of their recovery. Utilizing a variety of techniques, she enjoys challenging others to challenge themselves. Kristin is trained (Level I and II) in EMDR and enjoys integrating this highly intentional approach with other creative techniques, such as expressive arts and visual journaling. Kristin believes mindfulness practices, such as progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, and mindful breathing are incredibly important supplements to individual, family, or group therapies. As a Registered Yoga Teacher, she believes that yoga is for everyone and is excited also to help individuals find their inner strength and peace through the practice of yoga. Kristin works with adolescents/teens and adults and is LGBTQ-affirming/friendly. She is a Certified Transgender Care Therapist (ITCA). She is currently working towards completion of her Registered Play Therapist credential with the Association for Play Therapy and has completed over 100 hours of training and all of her supervision hours.

Kristin also serves as the Director of Operations for Wild Oaks - RCC's intensive outpatient program for the treatment of adults with eating disorders. Kristin has been instrumental in applying her knowledge, training, and eating disorder expertise to the Wild Oaks treatment curriculum design and daily operations.

When not working, Kristin enjoys playing board games with friends, practicing yoga, visiting with family, and spending time with her dog, Felix, about whom she's always happy to engage in conversation.
