Background:

Natalie (she/her) is a compassionate, warm, and dedicated therapist eager to assist individuals in finding their ideal path along life's journey. She enjoys meeting people wherever they feel stuck and using creative strategies to problem-solve difficult and seemingly hopeless situations. Whether looking to make a big life transition, wanting to explore "old stuff," or just feeling completely stuck, she is open to being a companion along the way, offering interactive feedback, support, encouragement, and positive solutions when needed. She enjoys working with teenagers and adults.

Natalie has special interest in the areas of career counseling, phase of life concerns, self-esteem, spirituality, parenting, women's issues, trauma, anxiety, anger management, and depression. She has over 8 years of varied clinical experience including residential substance abuse treatment, community-based clinical services for children and adults, crisis intervention, and crisis stabilization.  As a former school teacher, Natalie believes in the power of knowledge as one important tool in helping individuals heal and move forward. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Creative Therapies into her practice. Natalie also facilitated Parenting Groups for Greater Richmond SCAN for 5 years. She has been told that she is engaging, approachable, and relatable by many of the parents who attended her groups.

Natalie has completed specialized training in Child-Parent Relationship Therapy and is a senior leader in a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy learning cohort through Duke University.  She is eager to assist parents in learning more effective strategies to connect with and have healthy relationships with their children.
