Nicole (pronouns she/her) is a 2nd year Masters of Social Work student at VCU with a B.S. in Psychology. As the resident graduate student clinician at Richmond Creative Counseling, Nicole provides accessible, low-cost therapy services. Her goal upon graduation is working towards licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Nicole is LGBTQ+ affirming/friendly and committed to fostering a safe environment for therapeutic growth. She comes from a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective, and her therapeutic approach includes humanistic therapy, narrative therapy, motivational enhancement, and radical self-care. Nicole views advocacy and social justice as essential to mental health care work. She stays active in the community to advocate for social justice in areas such as racial justice and healthcare.
When Nicole is not in the office or in class, you can find her exploring Richmond with her 9-year-old Jack Russell "Roots", taking naps, or filling up coloring books.
