Shawnda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist with over 10 years of experience providing clinical social work services to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. In her work at RCC, Shawnda exclusively works with children providing clinical mental health counseling and play therapy to address a variety of issues, including, but not limited to: trauma, attachment, divorce/custody issues, separation anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, and family stressors. Shawnda has experience working in residential treatment, local community services boards, schools, and outpatient clinics. She is strengths-based and believes that children have the innate ability to heal when they are seen and heard by safe, present, and attuned adults.
