Background:

Alexis (pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults. Before obtaining her clinical license, Alexis worked in various medical settings and outpatient substance abuse treatment. Alexis has spent the last several years in private practice working with individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, relationship and attachment issues, addiction, self-esteem, and navigating life changes. Alexis is especially passionate about working with young women. She is LGBTQ-allied and affirming.

Alexis’ approach to therapy is holistic, person-centered and strengths-based. She utilizes a psychodynamic approach to therapy and tailors treatment to meet the needs of each individual. Her interventions include EMDR, parts work (ego states & IFS), polyvagal theory, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
