Alexis (pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adolescents and adults. Prior to obtaining her clinical license, Alexis worked in a variety of medical settings and outpatient substance abuse treatment. Alexis has spent the last several years in private practice working with individuals with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, relationship and attachment issues, addiction, self-esteem, and navigating life changes. Alexis is especially passionate about working with young women. She is LGBTQ allied and affirming.
Alexis’ approach to therapy is holistic, person centered and strengths based. She utilizes a psychodynamic approach to therapy and tailors treatment to meet the needs of each individual. Some of the interventions she uses include EMDR, ego states/parts work, polyvagal theory, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
