Amy Cooper, Counseling Intern (she/her)


Amy (pronouns she/her) is a student pursuing her M.Ed. in counselor education with a concentration in couples and family counseling at VCU. Her program focuses on training to address personal and professional problems faced by individuals, couples and families through a systemic framework. Before returning to school to pursue a degree in counseling, Amy spent the majority of her career teaching Spanish in a high school setting. 

In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two children, exploring Richmond’s restaurant scene, reading, listening to podcasts, and watching reality tv. 

Amy (pronombres ella/suya) es una estudiante de M.Ed. en educación de consejeros con una concentración en parejas y consejería familiar en VCU. Su programa se enfoca en el entrenamiento para abordar los problemas personales y profesionales que enfrentan las personas, parejas y familias a través de un marco sistémico. Antes de regresar a la escuela para obtener un título en consejería, Amy pasó la mayor parte de su carrera enseñando español en una escuela secundaria.

En su tiempo libre, a Amy le gusta pasar tiempo al aire libre con su esposo y sus dos hijos, explorar los restaurantes de Richmond, leer, escuchar podcasts y ver reality shows.

Amy will be practicing under the supervision of Carrie Walker, LPC
