Brittany (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a native Richmonder. She is a VCU alumni and completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at VCU. She is guided by a holistic, strengths-based perspective and works to empower youth toward healing and well-being.
Brittany has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field with 8 of those years working in a school setting providing individual and group counseling to youth aged 5-15. Additionally, she worked in a residential facility and provided services as an intensive in-home provider. Her areas of clinical expertise include: teaching prosocial skills, guiding emotional identification and emotional regulation, improving communication skills, empowering positive identity development, and building self-esteem. She is currently pursuing training to become a Registered Play Therapist and is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families. Brittany is a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and an active advocate in the community. She is a trauma-informed therapist and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness practices during sessions. She strives to identify creative, person-centered interventions to individualize treatment to guide client success.
Outside of the office, Brittany enjoys camping, social sports, practicing yoga, and cooking.
