Carter Gordon, LCSW (she/her)

Carter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience in the human services and mental health field. Carter’s clinical history includes working in acute, in-patient settings, in-home and community-based settings, and as an outpatient therapist.

Carter currently works with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, mood and anxiety disorders, women’s issues, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment to the stresses of parenthood, identity issues, adult attachment issues, and all degrees of trauma.  Carter is a certified EMDR (Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist and utilizes this treatment modality as her primary framework with her clients. Carter also incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques in her therapy sessions.

Carter works with all genders, and young adults to any age. Carter strives to utilize a compassionate and casual approach with her clients with the primary intent of creating a completely non-judgmental and collaborative atmosphere for her clients to feel safe and comfortable in the therapy session.

When not working, Carter spends her time as a mother, traveler, lover of music and culture, and outdoor enthusiast.
