Catelyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in treating eating disorders, self-esteem and body image issues, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, and challenges that afflict veterans. She has over 12 years of field experience with her unwavering passion for mental health budding as early as high school. Inclusivity is a non-negotiable practice in her therapeutic relationships and as an ally, hopes to create a completely affirming, safe, and inviting space for folks along gender, racial, ethnic, and sexual orientation spectrums while recognizing the privilege inherent in her own identity.
She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Mindfulness and looks forward to becoming trained in more modalities in the future. She values her experience working with individuals, families, and groups in multiple levels of care including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization. She believes that the client holds the most knowledge about themselves that she feels privileged to learn about as one embarks on or continues along their therapy journey.
Catelyn looks forward to soon being trained in Levels 1 and 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy to develop a more expansive set of skills to meet the needs of couples seeking clarity, resolve, and healing in their relationships.
While not at work, Catelyn likes to immerse herself in spending time with friends and family, being with her 2 rambunctious furkids, and traveling anywhere and everywhere she can.
