*** COVID19 UPDATE: RCC clinicians are seeing clients in person on a limited, by appointment only basis. Unless you have heard otherwise from your clinician, your sessions will continue to be held via a HIPAA compliant Telehealth platform. We continue to accept new intake requests and will be conducting all intake appointments via Telehealth until otherwise announced.***
Today you or your child is one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
We utilize both traditional and non-traditional approaches to help individuals uncover their true potential in creative ways. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying creative counseling techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
As greater Richmond's largest creative therapies practice (we have the most number of trained and Registered Play Therapists and Art Therapists under one roof, in addition to the only PMHNP in private practice who is trained in Play Therapy), Richmond Creative Counseling providers apply creative interventions to help address complex and problematic issues, often working with parent/child dyads and/or co-facilitating groups and workshops. We invite professionals within the healing/helping professions to share their expertise by contributing to workshops and consulting on challenging cases. We also work collaboratively and cohesively as a team often treating multiple members within the same family system. Because of our very active role as both an Association for Play Therapy and National Board of Certified Counselors Approved Provider, we hold ourselves to the highest level of accountability when it comes to best practice and the latest, most innovative trends in counseling and psychiatric care. We are also deeply committed to working with the LGBTQ community and proudly employ several members of the LGBTQ community as clinicians and administrative staff in order to provide a safe, welcoming, and relatable experience for many of the individuals we serve who find it difficult to secure a good fit in more traditional practices.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, we look forward to working with you or your child to achieve your goals.
