Leslie Kimball, PhD, LCP is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and National Register Health Service Psychologist. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University, and both her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she was trained by Dr. Patricia Resick, the developer of Cognitive Processing Therapy. Dr. Kimball sees child and adult clients for outpatient individual and group therapy. She also conducts psychological evaluations, including psychoeducational, social-emotional, ADHD, and trauma-focused assessments. In addition, Dr. Kimball provides staff training and supervision in evidence-based treatments, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. Kimball came to Richmond Creative Counseling in August 2022. Previously, she was at Dominion Care, where developed and directed their new Assessment Clinic and provided therapy services, staff supervision, and staff training. Before Dominion Care, she worked for more than 16 years as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry within the VCU Health System at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children, where she provided inpatient and outpatient clinical care, training, and supervision. Dr. Kimball has over 20 years of experience specializing in the assessment and treatment of trauma, and is passionate about helping her clients build lives worth living with meaning and joy after stressful and adverse experiences. In her free time, Dr. Kimball loves cooking, gardening, cycling, watching baseball, and listening to 80s new wave music.
