Lindsey Bat, MSW (she/her)

Lindsey received her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in May of 2020 after completing her clinical internship with RCC, and is now working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Lindsey is LGBTQIA+ affirming and has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with concerns related to anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem, stress-management, and life changes. Lindsey’s style is empathetic, accepting, and non-judgmental. She believes in the importance of telling and owning your story, and that her clients are the experts in their own experiences. Using a holistic, person-centered approach, Lindsey will work with you or your child to learn effective coping tools, deepen self-awareness, and discover your own inherent strengths. She uses psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, and play therapy techniques, and enjoys incorporating yoga, mindfulness, and expressive arts into traditional talk-therapy sessions.

Lindsey is currently working towards certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional, with a focus on complex trauma. Lindsey offers HIPAA-compliant teletherapy.
