Background:
Shawanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. Shawanda is personable and passionate. She is fulfilling her childhood dream of accepting and supporting the healing process of individuals. She takes a collaborative approach to assist her clients through self-identification of issues. Her passion is supporting the healing process to people who have endured traumatic/stressful experiences. She believes that we all have the power to make good decisions and the ability to control how we respond to the things that happen in our lives.
She brings an effective blend of experience, connectedness, expertise, support, empathy, and responsibility to the counseling process to maximize outcomes and provide genuine healing and wholeness to children, adolescents, and adults. She is committed to helping individuals discover their inner strengths, and to share them with those who matter the most.
