Trenice is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an eclectic approach to counseling, utilizing CBT, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, TF-CBT, TF-IPT, Sandtray Therapy, Play Therapy, Expressive Arts, and solution-focused techniques in her therapy sessions. Trenice has experience working with adults and child survivors of complex trauma, such as sexual and domestic violence and human trafficking. Trenice has worked in the mental health field for 8+ years in a variety of settings, such as schools, hospital, jail, outpatient therapy, residential, and community mental health. Trenice’s recent work has been helping survivors feel more empowered and to help them heal/recover from their trauma. She also enjoys being able to provide safe and supportive group spaces for survivors of trauma and more specifically sexual trauma. Trenice is LGBTQIA+ affirming in her practice with all clients.
Trenice’s very first passion from a young age was to find ways to help support and work with children. Trenice is currently working towards obtaining her certification in play therapy and focusing more on treating children and families.
