Background:
Trish (she/they) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified EMDR Therapist through EMDRIA. While embracing a holistic approach, Trish largely utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to meet individuals where they are and move toward a process of increased awareness, adjustment, healing, and/or personal growth. Trish has worked at a number of clinical settings addressing a variety of mental health issues related to PTSD, anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, maladjustment, and substance use. Additionally, they have worked with adults impacted by brain injury, domestic violence, sexual violence, sex trafficking, disability, and LGBTQ-related issues.
Trish obtained their Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to their clinical work, Trish currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Brain Injury Association of Virginia.
