Background:

Lindsay is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University.

Lindsay began her psychiatric nursing career over 14 years ago as an RN in a psychiatric ICU in Richmond, VA. She continued to work in the acute setting for many years, serving stents on acute detox units and the Emergency Department. During this time she learned, used, and taught Trauma Informed Care to staff and developed a passion for serving as a patient advocate. Before entering private practice, Lindsay was an Assistant Director of Nursing at the hospital. She continues to have a passion for severe mental illness and currently practices at a local group home in the community serving this population.

Lindsay joined RCC in 2019 and has enjoyed collaborating with the many talented and skilled mental health professionals on her cases. She likes to spend time getting to know each client individually. Lindsay is a generalist who is comfortable working with most mental health clinical issues, including, but not limited to substance use disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders, anxiety, OCD, panic, bipolar disorder, and depression. She works with all ages, but focuses primarily on adults.

Along with the rest of RCC staff, Lindsay is LGBTQ-competent and affirming.

In her free time Lindsay enjoys gardening, crossword puzzles, raising plant babies, hanging out with her hound dog, reading, and cooking more food than she can ever eat.
