Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy Trainer: Kimberly Hines, LCSW, RPT-S February 9-10, 2024 14 APT Contact Hours Learn about the intersection of CBT and Play Therapy. This 2-day in-person workshop will highlight the theory and practical application of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy using specific interventions that are often helpful in time-limited treatment programs, school-based settings, and outpatient practice. Participants will: 1) Identify and describe the key theoretical concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy. 2) Describe clinical presentations appropriate for the use of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy. 3) Discuss and describe the stages of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy. 4) Role play the use of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy in triads. 5) Discuss and recite unique considerations in different clinical settings for the use of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy. 6) Identify ethical considerations for the use of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy. 7) Practice up to 10 specific Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy interventions.
