Service Description
Trainer: Kimberly Hines, LCSW, RPT-S February 21st-22nd, 2025 14 APT Contact Hours Tracking, Reflection of Feelings, Restating the Content, Expanding the Metaphor, and other core non-directive play therapy facilitation skills will be taught, explored, and practiced in this 2-day workshop. This workshop will be held in person. Participants will: 1) Identify, describe, and demonstrate tracking, reflection of feelings, restating the content, expanding the metaphor, and returning responsibility during triad role plays. 2) Practice therapeutic limit-setting in the play room. 3) View, analyze, and discuss video clips of non-directive/child-centered play therapy sessions. 4) Document a mock play therapy session using the clinical language of play therapy. 5) Describe ethical considerations in the use of play therapy. 6) Observe, identify, and document play themes from video clips and role plays of play therapy sessions.
