Play Therapy for Healing Trauma Trainer: Kimberly Hines, LCSW, RPT-S October 17th & 18th, 2025. 14 APT Contact Hours Learn about the various issues that children and families face when dealing with traumatic experiences. Special emphasis will be placed on issues of abuse, crisis, and divorce. Play therapy concepts and techniques will be demonstrated and practiced throughout this 2-day workshop. Participants will: 1) Identify and describe trauma in children and adolescents in outpatient, school, and community based settings 2) Identify and describe the impact of trauma on the brain 3) Describe and apply the foundational concepts and key principles of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) 4) Demonstrate eight specific play therapy interventions to address trauma in play therapy 5) Practice the use of bibliotherapy to address trauma in play therapy 6) Identify, describe, and demonstrate the history and foundational concepts of Jungian Play Therapy as it relates to trauma treatment 7) Explain documentation and ethical considerations in addressing trauma through play therapy
