Working with Parents: Trainer: Kimberly Hines, LCSW, RPT-S April 18th, 2025: 7 APT & NBCC Contact Hours Parents are an essential part of their child's treatment, so our work with them is paramount. This 1-day training will focus on how to help parents be partners in their child's play therapy. This workshop will be held in person. Participants will: 1) Identify & describe tenets of play therapy to parents 2) Learn play therapy techniques to help parents co-regulate with their children 3) Learn how to conduct effective parent sessions using play therapy concepts 4) Identify and assist parents in identifying miscues 5) Practice play therapy interventions to use with parents 6) Identify and describe constructs of confidentiality in play therapy 7) Explore ethical considerations in working with parents during play therapy
