Alesha Lieser, LCSW

Alesha Lieser (she/her) a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with pre-teens, teens, young adults, and adults. She has experience providing therapy and case management in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient hospital programs, community-based services, and private practice. Alesha uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and solution-focused approaches to meet clients where they are. She enjoys working with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, trauma, chronic illness, and major life transitions (divorce, preparing for college, starting a new job, etc). Her approach is trauma-informed, culturally competent, compassionate, and creative. Alesha is also pursuing her certification for Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT).

Alesha was born and raised near Chicago, IL. She moved to Richmond, VA in 2018 and has enjoyed learning all that the city has to offer. Outside of work, Alesha is a passionate lover of books, enjoys spending quality time with her family, and cuddling with her three cats (Hazel, Pickle, and Salem) as well as her dog (Ava). She is also fond of fishing, discovering new music, and frequenting the many coffee shops of Richmond.
