Alyssa Piedrahita, LCSW

Hey, I’m Alyssa (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces where clients feel supported and empowered to navigate life’s challenges and cultivate a deeper sense of self with dignity and purpose. I value warmth, authenticity, and the importance of fostering strong therapeutic relationships, while working alongside clients to develop meaningful, goal-oriented treatment plans that promote healing and growth. I believe healing begins in safe and secure spaces and I strive to offer that to every client I meet.

Since 2018, I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse mental health settings including intensive outpatient programs, community outreach, residential care, crisis intervention, and acute inpatient psychiatric care supporting children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I take a person-centered, strengths-based approach and draw from a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, resiliency-focused approaches, mindfulness, grounding and holistic techniques. I’m interested in pursuing advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), couples and sex therapy.

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, especially in the sun or at the beach. I also enjoy being cozy at home cooking new recipes, playing my favorite video game, spending quality time with loved ones, or relaxing with my two cats, Maxwell and Loki.
