Ashley Azubuike, MS

Ashley (she/her) is a Resident in Counseling who comes to RCC with experience providing therapy services to clients ages 5-55 experiencing a spectrum of mental health concerns and challenges. She began her counseling career working in an outpatient behavioral health setting providing support for teens and adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. After working in an outpatient setting, she transitioned into private practice where she applied her experience and skills to provide individualized, group, and family therapy to support children, adolescents, and adults navigating gender identity, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and substance use disorders. Ashley uses an integrative and holistic approach combining elements of PCT, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care to help clients navigate life’s complexities, foster resiliency, and discover new possibilities for growth and healing. She is committed to increasing access to mental health services by creating a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and validated throughout the therapeutic process. In her free time, Ashley enjoys exploring new restaurants in the Richmond area, traveling with her partner, and spending time with friends.
