Background:

Ashley (she/her) is a Resident in Counseling with special interest in couples and marriage
counseling. Before pursuing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Ashley was a
public school teacher, behavior therapist (in-home and in a school setting), and worked in acute
inpatient psychiatric care offering assistance and support. Ashley’s counseling style focuses on
warmth, empathy, and acceptance. She utilizes interventions from DBT, Motivational
Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. In couples work, Ashley uses a Solution-Focused
approach.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, practicing and
performing with her band, and singing with a local a cappella group.
