Blanca Barrera Morales, LCSW

Blanca Barrera Morales (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma and other challenging life experiences. She is a person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based therapist who specializes in trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. Blanca has extensive experience working with adult and adolescent survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking, as well as family members impacted by these experiences.

Blanca is trained in play therapy and incorporates developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities to help children and adolescents express emotions, process difficult experiences, develop coping skills, and strengthen their sense of safety and connection.

As an immigrant herself, Blanca recognizes the importance of honoring each person’s unique history, culture, identity, and lived experiences. She strives to create a safe, compassionate, and empowering therapeutic environment where clients can build on their strengths, develop resilience, and move toward healing and growth.

Blanca integrates a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches tailored to each client’s individual needs, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Flash Technique, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based approaches.

Blanca is a native Spanish speaker and has extensive experience working with immigrant communities. She is committed to providing culturally responsive care and supporting clients from diverse backgrounds throughout their healing journey.
