Background:

Carlin (she/ her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience providing therapy and crisis intervention in university counseling, residential treatment, and community-based settings. Throughout her career, she has supported adolescents, emerging adults, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, self-discovery, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of difficult life experiences. She has experience supporting LGBTQIA+ teens and adults, as well as individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including refugees and immigrants, and strives to provide care that is culturally responsive, affirming, and grounded in curiosity and humility.
Carlin's therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and existential therapy to help clients develop practical coping skills while also exploring the deeper questions of identity, meaning, and values. She believes healing means building a life that feels fulfilling, intentional, and true to who you are.
Carlin has a passion for working with adolescents and emerging adults as they navigate identity, relationships, academic or career stress, family dynamics, and major life transitions. Whether clients are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about their next steps, she hopes to offer a supportive space where they can better understand themselves, strengthen their resilience, and move toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful to them.
