Nicole Bustillos, MA

Nicole (she/her/hers) is a Resident in Counseling and an empathetic and compassionate therapist who is dedicated to supporting clients as they navigate their own healing. She believes in the importance of building a strong, trusting therapeutic alliance and knowing that the client is the expert on themselves. Nicole aims to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore challenges, strengths, and everything in between to begin their journey toward healing. She is especially passionate about making the therapeutic space a room to grow, learn, and laugh.
Nicole works with a wide variety of clients from children six years and up, adolescents, and adults addressing concerns including life transitions, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, emotional regulation, and building a positive self image. She focuses on helping individuals navigate the complexities of life utilizing a person centered approach including interventions from CBT, EMDR, somatic, mindfulness, child-centered play, and sand play in the therapy room. Nicole enjoys utilizing expressive art approaches to allow clients to connect with their authentic selves and communicate their needs. Nicole is known for being kind, warm, and supportive of clients in the therapeutic space.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys gardening and playing with plants, playing video games, reading, hanging out with her partner, friends, and family as well as spending time with her two dogs- Penny and Inky.
