Background:
Robert (he/him) is a dual Resident in Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy.
Seeking therapy takes courage, and Robert believes that healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. He provides psychodynamic therapy for adolescents (12+), adults, couples, and families who are looking to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and create lasting change. His approach is grounded in the belief that many of our current struggles are shaped by past experiences and unconscious patterns. Together, Robert and his clients explore these experiences with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.
Robert works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, and questions surrounding identity and self-worth. He understands that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and he strives to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can speak openly and feel accepted exactly as they are.
Rather than focusing only on relieving symptoms, Robert helps clients uncover the deeper emotional patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, clients gain greater self-awareness, process unresolved experiences, and develop new ways of relating to themselves and others. This insight often leads to stronger relationships, increased resilience, and a greater sense of authenticity and emotional well-being.
Robert's style is warm, collaborative, and genuine. He believes every person has a unique story, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Whether you are facing a difficult season, working through longstanding challenges, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, Robert is committed to walking alongside you with empathy, respect, and care as you move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
