Background:
Sabrina (she/her) provides couples/partnership counseling and individual therapy for adolescents 12+ and adults. She believes healing happens in relationships where individuals feel genuinely seen, respected, and safe. As an LGBTQ-identifying and bicultural therapist, Sabrina brings an affirming, identity-aware lens to her work. She is passionate about creating a space where all parts of her clients, including their identities, relationships, and lived experiences, are welcomed and honored. She especially enjoys working with teenagers, young adults and college students navigating life transitions as well as individuals managing autoimmune conditions or chronic illness.
Sabrina draws heavily from compassion-focused therapy, supporting clients in developing a kinder, more understanding relationship with themselves, particularly when shame and self-criticism have taken root. Alongside this, she uses solution-focused strategies to help identify strengths and move toward meaningful, achievable change. Her style balances acceptance and change: honoring where clients are while gently helping them build the tools to create the life they want.
Sabrina has experience supporting clients with a variety of concerns such as PTSD, LGBTQ+ identities and experiences, spirituality, religious trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, racial trauma, relationship issues, and ADHD. Her approach is primarily trauma-informed and person-centered while incorporating elements from Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Sabrina views therapy as a collaborative process and tailors her approach to meet each client's unique needs.
Outside of work, Sabrina enjoys hiking, cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her partner and their dog.
