Background:

Sarah (she/ her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with individuals navigating ADHD, identity exploration, acute and complex trauma, generational trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, emotion regulation (aka big feelings at inconvenient times), and more. She provides culturally competent, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA-affirming care.

Sarah deeply values and appreciates the opportunity to hold space for people’s stories. Her role is part guide, part collaborator, part hype-person—helping folks build a life that feels more aligned and more alive. She’s especially passionate about demystifying therapy and creating a space where being a work-in-progress is embraced and normalized. She is genuinely excited about solutions, growth, and the changes people want to see in their lives. She blends solution-oriented and mindfulness approaches —drawing from liberation psychology, narrative therapy, existential work, and somatic techniques. She’s also a bit of a nerd about how social, political, and cultural systems shape mental health and how we can reclaim our stories within them.

Sarah is a good fit for folx who appreciate a therapist louder than the one you see in the movies.

Other specialties include being a goofball, gardening with reckless abandon, and trying to cook like Samin Nosrat. Most of her free time is spent with friends and family—ideally outside, always with snacks, and usually getting clothes dirty that were supposed to be for the office.
