Background:
Sarah (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping her clients navigate the challenging yet transformative journey of personal growth. She understands that embracing change is difficult but achievable and offers a welcoming space for all clients to explore and reshape what no longer serves them.
With a background in DBT, attachment theory, strengths-based approaches, and CBT principles, Sarah tailors each session to meet clients where they are, valuing that each person is the expert on their own experience. Sarah offers a trauma-informed approach and is LGBTQIA+-affirming in all of her work. She enjoys helping individuals challenge core beliefs, build self-worth, improve relationships, manage stress, and cultivate healthy, sustainable habits and lifestyles.
Before joining Richmond Creative Counseling, Sarah provided therapy at VCU Health to a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, teens, parents, and adults.
When not at work, Sarah enjoys playing volleyball, yoga, supporting local restaurants, and exploring Richmond!
