She has worked with children, families, and adults in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, medical settings, therapeutic group homes, and schools. Prior to becoming a therapist, Zoe worked in the anti-violence field, and she is passionate about healing as a form of violence prevention. Zoe is LGBTQ+ affirming and knowledgable and truly enjoys working with queer and trans young people and adults. She enjoys working with her clients on issues related to acute and complex trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, identity, and family relationships. She has significant experience working with people experiencing foster care, adoption, grief/loss, complex medical issues, and abuse histories.

Zoe Levenson uses a strengths-based perspective and a social justice lens, and she believes that a warm and caring therapeutic relationship built on mutual trust is essential for healing. The purpose of therapy is to make meaning of our past experiences - with ourselves, in our families, and walking through the world - that impact our lives now. In therapy sessions, Zoe uses play therapy techniques, expressive arts, talk therapy, and experiential activities to connect with clients and help them identify how to get where they want to be.
